Ceiling fans are a stylish and functional addition to any home's decor and an economical way to stay cool on a warm Florida day. Ceiling fans also help to circulate the air inside of your home or lanai so you can feel refreshed no matter where you are enjoying the day.

With affordable and attractive ceiling fans available at your local home improvement store, our skilled electricians are available to add the necessary wiring to your home's electrical system.

Electrical Inspections - Residential & Commercial

Image of electrial inspection.

When purchasing a new home or rental property in Florida keep in mind that you will more than likely be required to complete a 4-Point Inspection to obtain homeowner's insurance. Most insurance companies require a 4-Point Inspection if a home is older than 40 years or a rental property over 30 years old. Insurance guidelines vary from company to company so be sure to check with your insurance agent to understand what is required.

A 4-Point Home Inspection considers the four primary systems of an older home (roof, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC). We assist you in completing the electrical portion of the inspection. Our master electrician will conduct a thorough examination of your home's electrical system. We will note the type of wiring (copper, aluminum, knob, or tube), electrical panel manufacturer, and overall condition of the home's electrical system. We will provide you with a detailed report of our findings and work with you to mitigate any electrical issues. We will take the time to explain our solutions adequately, so you feel comfortable with the process. Contact us today to schedule your 4-Point Electrical Inspection.

Electric Panel Upgrade & Replacement

Image of electrical panel.

The main electrical panel is at the center of your home's electrical system. Many older homes have outdated panels that need upgraded for continued safe operation.

Most insurance companies will no longer insure electrical panels by Federal Pacific and Zinsco/Sylvania. Be sure to take note of your new or your existing home's electrical panel manufacturer and explore upgrading to a new and safer electrical panel if necessary. We can assist you in choosing the electrical panel that is best suited for your home.

Electric Service Upgrades

Our team of knowledgeable and skilled electricians can assist you in upgrading your home's existing electrical system. Common issues that pose latent hazards to your home's electrical system include outdated wiring, Federal Pacific electric panels, improper GFCI wiring, and double-tapped breakers. We will thoroughly inspect your existing system and make recommendations to ensure your safety and peace of mind.

If you are looking to purchase a new home, we can assist with the electrical portion of the required 4-Point Inspection to obtain homeowner's insurance. We are fully qualified to help you with any interior or exterior electrical concerns. Your power company is responsible for power pole overhead to your home and any issues that occur where the wires attach to your home down to the meter. The electrical panel is the homeowner's responsibility. Contact us today to schedule an on-site appointment to obtain a service quote for any electrical service upgrade we provide.

Electric Vehicle Charge Port Installation

We maintain strict quality, permitting, and inspection requirements for Tesla charge ports. Rely on our team of electricians for the professional installation of your EV charge port. Contact us today to schedule your on-site appointment.

Generator Installation

Image of standby generator.

Living in Florida means living with the threat of hurricanes. In the event of a power outage during a storm, a backup generator will ensure that you do not lose power.

A standby generator is designed to automatically supply power to your home within a few minutes of the sensor detecting a power loss. A standby generator will then automatically transfer back to your standard power grid once electricity is restored. We will recommend the best generator for your needs backed by professional installation.

Portable generators provide a cost-effective alternative to standby generators and can run off either gasoline or diesel fuel. They can be easily moved from place to place and are ideal for short-term losses of electrical power.

Our team of electricians can assist you with installing an electrical outlet to power circuits in your home, as well as the installation of a transfer switch to separate your backup power from your city's power grid.

GFCI Installation & Replacement

Building codes require ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) electrical outlets in critical locations in your home. In areas where moisture and water are prevalent such as kitchens and bathrooms, GFCI outlets protect from dangerous electrical surges and will shut off the electrical current within as little as 1/40 of a second.

Areas where GFCI outlets are required include all bathrooms, near kitchen sinks, garages, outdoor receptacles, crawl spaces, unfinished basements, and boathouses. We can install new or diagnose existing GFCI outlets to ensure that your home meets today's electrical safety standards.

Appliance Wiring

Image of kitchen appliances.

Most existing homes are already pre-wired for home appliances, but there are certain cases where you may need to upgrade or move your existing appliance wiring. Specifically, two home appliances require a dedicated circuit for safe operation: electric range and dryer.

If you have recently upgraded your household appliances, it is necessary to have the correct electrical receptacle for your modern-day appliances. Many older homes have outdated 3-wire systems, and it is beneficial to upgrade to a 4-wire receptacle (which includes the addition of separate ground or neutral wire). Also, most modern appliances require a 120-volt receptacle to be up to code. You can count on our team of electricians to guide you in the right direction towards the safe operation of your new investment.

Landscape Lighting

Image of landscape lighting.

A quick, easy way to spruce up your curb appeal at night is the addition of landscape lighting. It also provides the additional benefits of safety and security. Illuminating your outdoor space with motion detection lights can help deter unwanted visitors. Landscape lighting can help you navigate your outdoor space, hours after sunset, lighting up pathways and possible hazards in your way. Spotlights can highlight trees, shrubs, and other foliage in your yard, helping to construct a sophisticated ambiance around your home.

We can assist you with installing electrical pedestals and underground wiring for your outdoor environment. We will work with you to discreetly blend your power sources to create a seamless integration of lighting into your landscape. Contact us today to see how we can help you illuminate your evening sky.

LED Lighting

The shift towards LED lighting was motivated by the desire to increase efficiency and quality of lighting sources. LED is highly energy-efficient and uses at least 75% less energy and lasts 25 times longer than incandescent lighting. LED lighting is available in a variety of residential and commercial products and is becoming more affordable with rapid development in LED technology.

LED products have expanded over the years and are found in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. Here are a few ways LED is influencing home lighting: kithcen under-cabinet lighting, recessed downlights, holiday lighting, and landscape lighting.

Our team of knowledgeable electricians can assist you with selecting and installing LED lighting that best suits your needs. Contact us today to learn more.

Outlets & Switches: Upgrade & Replacement

Image of electrical outlets being installed.

Outlets and switches come in various colors and styles, each with a different function. Types of switches include toggle, rocker, slider, and push-button. Use dimmer switches to adjust the light levels in different locations. Control floor lamps and other electronics with the flip of a switch. We can update outdated 2-pronged outlets to safer 3-pronged outlets with neutral ground wires. Also available are outlets with built-in USB ports for quick, easy charging of your electronics. Code regulations require GFCI outlets in bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and other areas. Our electricians can examine your electrical system for proper GFCI protection.

There are four types of common wall switches:single-pole, three-way, double-pole, and four-way. Single-pole are general-purpose and control lights, receptacles, and other devices from a single location by switching it on/off. Single-pole are suitable for situations that require 15 or 20 amps. Three-way switches pair with one another to control lights or other receptacles from different locations. Double-pole switches are most often found in industrial environments, but also find purpose in home electrical systems. A double-pole switch is rated for 30 amps and controls appliances and machinery that demand higher energy outputs. Four-way switches serve as an intermediary for three-way switches and control outlets or light fixtures from three or more locations in the home.
